We were ready to get the heck out of Vegas, but had one more night to hang out with Greg so we found the best concert in town and grabbed tickets for Santana at the house of blues. He still rockd and we got a spectacular spot about 10 ft room the stage! We bid farewell to Greg that evening, it was great to see him and everyone else over the week.
Well Vegas is anything but boring and the show has been amazing. Lots of fun to see the new toys and run into all the Alaskans floating around. John really does make the booth for Fatback!
So the bike show is fun and a bit overwhelming. So many bikes and choices it's hard to decide what to demo. So far hanging out st the Fatback booth is great and testing out the new toys tops the list. Fun to ride a nice full suspension rocky mountain bike.
So I left John in bham and hit the road with my Mom, Connie, Duke, and Cider. We rolled out to Leavenworth, WA and camped out on icicle road. Then we were off to Montana and the Bitterroot valley for night to of remote camping at Gold Creek. The 3rd night we pushed on to Sandy UT and reunited Connie with Bill. We stayed at a Best Western plus...Cider loved the cush hotel. It seemed to be his style:)
Had a great time in the Dixie National forest and Bryce National Park. We camped out at White Bridge in the Dixie National forest. Then we explored the area before heading out to Flagstaff.
This is a great town and was a fun place to rest up before headed over to Las Vegas in order to pick up this guy John from the airport. Sad to say goodbye to Duke and Cider but we will see them next week in Ruidoso.
We made it back to B'ham for a couple weeks to try to sort out my ongoing back problems and its been great. Highlights include Sue's surprise birthday party, a giant wind storm, playing with the new kitten, Kyle Knudsen's 3rd b'day, a trip to Lopez island, reuniting with Karen, Connie, Cider and... DUKE!!! A trip to Lummi island, a dinner party for the Alaskans, Octoberfest and lots of Doc appointments. More news from the doctors on my bad back in the next couple of days, hoping it's good news.
